Plan for Achieving Self-Support (PASS)
Program:
Federal program allowing some
SSI
and
SSDI
recipients to set aside money for
work goals
.
Benefit:
Income set aside to achieve a work goal will not count when determining your SSI benefit.
Eligibility:
Participants must be SSI-eligible or become SSI-eligible because of the Plan.
Participancy:
As no SSI funds can contribute to the Plan, participants must have another source of income, such as earnings or SSDI.
